Our Discography

Full LPs

spiderdust (2016)

Our first record, recorded a scant 3 months after we formed! We literally recorded 9 out of the 12 first songs we wrote.
It is a fond memory of a specific point in the babyhood of our band. Also our
then-bassist Liesl literally joined the band, had one rehearsal, played on the record,
and then quit the band! Hilarious. (Love you Liesl.)

New Ways To Make Mistakes (2020)

It took us three years to make another record. By the time we released it, Tom had left
to move to Chicago to follow his dreams. (Love you Tom.) 1

We recorded it in our rehearsal studio, Savaria, in Gowanus with Jay's trusty laptop.

superflowerbloodmoon (2023)

More or less right after we released NWTMM (Jan 19, 2020), the pandemic hit.
In a truly "First World/White People Problems" complaint, I ordered
like 25 tshirts and we had no gigs to play and no way to sell them2.
Anyhoo, this time I think it's not so much our fault that we didn't
make our next studio album til 3 years later. Eric had joined the band in 2019 and
we were starting to get really tight when we had to stop rehearsing for like 8 months.
Gradually we started outdoor rehearsals at the Witch House in Staten Island, on our veranda.
Built up another bunch of songs which we recorded on the weekend of May 13, 2022
(i.e. the Super Flower Blood Moon) in our living room in the Witch House.

EPs

All Hard Feelings (2018)

Recorded in the studio in 2018, the classic lineup of Nivs, Brookes, Tom & Jay. Produced by Jay. We had a ton
of fun making this lil record.

Tracklisting:

  1. mildew
  2. Animal Cruelty
  3. Winterdread '18

Listen to the EP here: All Hard Feelings.
Cover art was a collab between Nivs & Brookes - Brookes took the original picture (of Nivs's hand on the subway,
holding some string lights) and ran it through ArtFilter, and Nivs did the typography.

Motorcycle (2020)

Right before NWTMM came out, we were like, "we should put out a single! let's do Motorcycle!"
Well, two b-sides happened and then it was an EP. Poor Eric - who didn't play on NWTMM but had
to hang out while we agonized endlessly about it, made his LWRG record debut with the b-side
"yer dogs" (which is uh, technically a Virgo Power cover). Jay did the
#NEONSWEATBAND remix, about which he said, "Back in August 2017 I saw
Lucky Witch & the Righteous Ghost for the first time and I had a vision of an electronica
Motorcycle that I've wanted to bring into existence since. It's been a long and complicated
series of cons since then to make it happen, but it was all worth it."

Tracklisting:

  1. Motorcycle
  2. yer dogs
  3. Motorcycle (#NEONSWEATBAND Remix)

Listen to the EP here: Motorcycle EP.
Cover art was all Nivs.

Dreams In The Witch House (2020)

After NWTMM came out, we were talking to our pal Oliver Baer, a poet of
intensely weird and creepy talent who has inspired us on a number of occasions
and vice versa, about putting out an album of his poems set to music by us
and another band. The other band fell through and we had already recorded our
stuff (in Feb 2020, which TBH I didn't even remember. I remembered it as being
1) NWTMM album release, 2) pandemic but apparently we had time to squeeze in these
recordings before we started quarantining) so finally we decided to release
"Dreams In The Witch House" as the 2nd single from NWTMM, with 4 b-sides to make a
creepy Lovecraft/Baer monster mashup3
.

Tracklisting:

  1. Dreams in the Witch House
  2. Goblin Glass Shard
  3. White Noise
  4. Into the Ocean
  5. Lexicon

Listen to the EP here: Dreams In The Witch House.
Cover art was all Brookie this time, well starting with a still from Alice's "Dreams" video
a shot of our tower, which I then filtered to within an inch of its life in GraphicConverter
and did the typography.

Live Records & Compilations

1 - After we recorded the album “Fake Excitement” (2018, unreleased) and our then-drummer Ellen almost immediately quit the band (love you Ellen), I was seriously starting to think we were cursed.
2 - I'm still giving them away.
3 - We still have one other Lovecraft-inspired song which will probably honestly never see the light of day. Also, both "Into the Ocean" and "Goblin Glass Shard" were the products of a mini-competition between Brookes & Nivs - we gave ourselves like 2 hours, each picked a Baer poem, and wrote a song from it. I was so mad when I heard how
good "Into The Ocean" was that I then wrote “Lexicon" from a different Baer poem.
